Recognition

Certified Finance Expert (CFE) certification is recognised in the UK as SCQF Level 7 qualification. It is recognised in the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) as Level 5 qualification. 

How to achieve CFE designation?

Step 1 – Registration

Step 2 – Study

CFS exam will assess your understanding of ‘CFS Body of Knowledge’. You can study independently. We call it ‘self-study’ route. However, if you are currently residing in Kuwait, you must study CFE certification at HumanPro Training Institute.

Step 3 – Take the CFE exam

Once your exam preparation is complete, you need to register for your CFS exam. Our exams are computer-based and available any time of the year. You can sit for the exam virtually from anywhere in the world.

Eligibility

If you have minimum one year work experience at any level of finance, accounting or business management role, then you are eligible to sit for the CFE exam. One year experience is the only eligibility requirement. We require you to declare your years of prior work experience at the time you will create online exam account with us.

Exam fees

Exam fee is the only cost component in your investment towards gaining the designation. You will pay exam fees only when you will register for the exam. CFS exam fee is £149.  This fees cover not only first exam attempt but also up to three (3) re-sit exam costs.

When and how do I take my exam?

Exam schedule

 CFS certification is assessed by a single MCQ-based exam. The exam is computer-based and available ‘on-demand’ any time of the year! Exams may be taken anytime from anywhere in the world. We use AI-based remote proctoring technology to conduct computer-based online MCQ exam. This allows you to take the exam from the comfort of your home or office. All you will need is a laptop or desktop with seamless internet connection.

Re-sit exams

If you fail in the first exam attempt, you will be allowed (maximum) three (3) re-sit exam opportunities. Re-sit exams can be taken even immediately after any failed exam attempt. However, re-sit exam opportunities must be taken within six months from the date of the first exam attempt. You do not have to pay any fees to take re-sit exams. All re-sit exams are free!

Marks distribution

50 MCQs x 2 marks = 100 Marks

Pass mark

Exam Preparation

  • CFS exam questions are set from the ‘CFS Body of Knowledge’. You are also required to study MCQs provided in the ‘Practice Book’. Both ‘CFS Body of Knowledge’ and ‘Practice Book’ are provided for free! 
  • Each MCQ will have one correct or best answer. There will not be any negative marking if you select wrong answer for any MCQs.
  • Time required for exam preparation will vary. If you are already familiar with finance and accounting concepts, you could straight away register for the exam! However, if you are new to finance, you may need to study for three (3) months.  
  • Many students prefer to take exam preparation independently. We call it “self-study” route.
  • In selected countries, we have registered centres who provide exam preparation classes for CFS students. Any agreement is directly between the student and the respective centre.

Digital Certificate & Digital Badge

  • We will issue digital certificate and digital badge as soon as you will successfully pass the exam. We will send instruction about digital credentials to your email ID.   
  • Our digital credentials are issued through Credly. Organisations will be able to verify your diploma online. You will be able to print your digital certificate through Credly. 
  • Credly lets you share your digital badge to popular destinations such as LinkedIn. You may also copy the badge URL to paste on the resume and email signature.
  • Our digital certificates are more reliable than traditional paper certificate. However, in case you also need a hard-copy certificate issued by IQN, additional fees (£99) will apply.

Recertification Requirement

  • By successfully passing the CFS exam, you will become authorised to use the CFS post-nominal letters after your name for 15 (fifteen) years.  
  • We do NOT charge any annual membership or subscription fee. 
  • Maintaining the standards for the CFS designation is crucial for your professional growth and fluency within the industry. For recertification, you will need to appear in the CFS exam just once in every 15 (fifteen) years. 
  • Recertification ensures that all CFS credential holders are maintaining the required level of knowledge and competence.
